Children in Worship is for children 4 years old – 5th grade. We meet downstairs in the Education hallway (to the right). Our Classrooms open at 9:50 AM. Parents, please bring your child(ren) downstairs to sign them in each week. After church is over, come downstairs to pick them up or you may give us permission on the sign-up sheet to send them upstairs.
The Afternoon Bible Study meets this Monday (tomorrow) at 1:00 PM in the Fireside Room. We are studying the book of Joshua. It will be streamed live on Facebook and available afterwards for those who are unable to attend or watch the live stream. Bible Study meets on the first and third Mondays of each month. Plan to join us!
Calvin’s Walking Group will meet at 1:00 PM this Tuesday, November 4th, at Trinity Health Arena (formerly L.C. Walker) 470 W. Western Ave. We’ll walk around the indoor ice arena. Door entrance is between Carlisle’s and Rad Dads’ restaurants. Free parking is available in the lot across the street. Walk-friendly surface; walkers and wheelchairs are welcome; dress appropriately (for cold); seven laps = 1 mile. Join us! The Fellowship Team would love for you to bake and share your favorite pie/dessert for Pie Sunday on Sunday, Nov. 23rd. Then, take your yummy treat to the kitchen so we can cut and serve for Coffee Fellowship!
Please join us for a soup dinner and a service of expressing gratitude to God at our annual Thanksgiving Eve Celebration at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, November 26th. This worship service is for the entire family. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. NO nursery available.
Do you have a small “need” such as light yard work, minor home repairs, changing furnace filters/light bulbs, etc.? Could you use an extra set of hands? If so, contact the church office, or your assigned elder or deacon, then someone from our Needs & Deeds Team will be in touch.
Another way to give at Calvin is through VENMO. Go to our website, calvin-crc.org, click on the GIVE tab and follow the steps. Or go to your Venmo app, search for the Profile Name, Calvin-Muskegon (make sure it is the correct Calvin by looking for the tree) and follow the steps.
Defibrillator Safety Reminder: You will find our AED Defibrillator in the narthex by the back doors. There is also a First Aid kit available.
Our sanctuary is equipped with an Induction Loop Assistive Listening System. To utilize, switch your hearing aid, cochlear implant, tactile device to “T” (Telephone) or contact your provider for assistance.

Opportunities to Serve…
Attention High School Students: We will be traveling to Puerto Rico next summer for a Service and Learning Trip! If you are interested in hearing more info about this trip, please plan on attending an Informational Meeting, with a parent, on Sunday, November 16th following Youth Group at 5:30 PM. This meeting will last about 20 minutes and is required if you plan on going on this trip. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Brian.
Want to take a turn sharing a story with our young ones? Children’s Messages are a part of worship on Family Worship Sundays. A new sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board by the drinking fountain. Family Worship Sundays (No Children in Worship) are Communion Sundays… Holidays… Summertime. If you have questions, see Courtney Kingshott.
Each Sunday afternoon when the High School Youth Group meets, we offer the kids snacks. Would you be willing to bring a delicious treat for the High School students? We typically have 15-20 kids. You can bring the treats Sunday morning, and Youth Leaders will put the snacks out for Youth Group later in the day. If you are willing, please see the sign-up sheet above the drinking fountain. Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway: During the month of October, we are partnering with the Muskegon Rescue Mission in their effort to provide Thanksgiving Baskets. Our goal at Calvin Church is to contribute 225 cans of Cream Corn and 225 boxes of Cornbread Mix. Along with other churches in the area, we have the opportunity to bless several families with a turkey and all the dinner trimmings in time for Thanksgiving Day. Donation barrel is available at the Info Center to gather these items through tomorrow, November 3rd.
