We could use your help! Are you interested in helping tear-down/ set-up the Family Life Center for worship during construction? We aren’t sure what this will all entail yet, but if you are at all interested, please add your name to the list on the bulletin board by the drinking fountain.
Are you interested in volunteering in the Nursery taking a turn looking after our little ones up to once a quarter? This includes Middle School and High School students who are willing to help. If so, please see Meredith Best or Courtney Kingshott.
Each Sunday afternoon when the High School Youth Group meets, we offer the kids snacks. Would you be willing to bring a delicious treat for our High School students? We typically have around 20 kids. You can bring the treats Sunday morning, and Youth Leaders will put the snacks out for Youth Group later in the day. If you are willing, please see the sign-up sheet above the drinking fountain. April Update on Building Project:
Both the Sanctuary/Narthex Remodel Team and the Décor Team have very exciting news!
There has been major progress by both teams – mostly behind the scenes.
The Sanctuary/Narthex Remodel Team has been working on obtaining required permits along with working with the firm for surveying, soil testing, civil and structural engineering. The Décor Team has been working on determining color schemes in connection with paint, flooring, seating, and sacred elements. Within the next month there will be a “Design Board” showing some of the features of the Sanctuary transformation.
Financially, we are incredibly blessed. Currently we have over $1 million cash on hand. We know that the construction and renovation costs can change quickly. Be assured that every member of the S/N Remodel and Décor Teams are dedicated to using this money in a wise and stewardly manner.
About 60 members/families of our congregation have donated to this renovation project (identities and amounts are completely anonymous). The teams have worked tirelessly to reduce costs for this project and yet the financial reality is that prices have increased. We would love to see 100% of the congregation participate in support of this project. Additional funds will be needed to complete this project. Please prayerfully consider how God is calling us to give at any level to see this project to completion. If you have questions, see Bill Sorensen.
Finally, please pray for the team members as we wrestle with the many decisions before us.
